Single strap option + colourways for Bubble mask. Single strap option + colourways for Bubble mask.
Front thinner bungee cord acts a bit like suspension allowing for a better fit when face and jaw moves.

Bubble mask is reusable transparent face mask to provide high protection from any contagious airborne transmission of respiratory disease now and in future. The mask project development in conjunction with the DeTao Masters academy in Shanghai.
Bubble is designed to provide a simple comfortable, cost effective solution with higher protection than current single use options.

Bubble is specifically designed to protect at the high levels needed for healthcare workers, patients and others in the health service. Transparent masks support important communication issues for anyone with hearing difficulties or are deaf, patients/service users with cognitive problems such as dementia, and those with learning disabilities.

The unique construction provides a solution where all parts can be dissembled, washed and then reassembled to combat the environmental impact of single use products. Innovative features include an omni-directional filter placed around the perimeter and a unique nano coating that is applied applied to the outer and inner surfaces.
The nano coating is anti-fog, self-cleaning and anti-bacterial. The hepa filter is replaceable and has a large enough surface area to provide ease of breathing without compromising visual communication.

All parts dissemble to be easily cleaned for daily use. All materials can be seperated and for ease to recycle at the end of life.

FLW front view + original visualisation. The FLW FLW front view + original visualisation.

The FLW chair was part of a special collaboration between @scpltd and Japanese brand @ishinomakilab. The collection marked ten years since the Great Eastern Japan earthquake and tsunami with an exhibition of new furniture designs from Ishinomaki Laboratory, the Japanese DIY furniture company founded in the immediate aftermath of the 2011 disaster.

FLW’s design is a simple vision of two folded pillows, supported by a heavy 3 legged timber frame. The aim for the piece was to create a fully sustainable, compact, comfortable and affordable lounge chair. The upholstery is made up from all natural materials. In the seat a simple planar wooden frame with a hessian webbing supports layers of cocolok mats (pressed coconut fibre bound with natural latex), then soft cushioning is created from folded layers of thick needled wool (reconstituted wool/cottton mix) to complete the pillow.

TUSCA developments 1:1 The best part of being an TUSCA developments 1:1

The best part of being an industrial designer is when you receive development prototypes as this usually means the product is on its way to reality, which is not always the case.
For TUSCA we went through a series of machined polystyrene prototypes which are ideal for testing as strong enough for sitting yet soft enough to cut and update. After each round the 3D cad gets updated until everyone is happy, then it can be tooled. The final image shows the final form machined from a harder compound.
TUSCA / 2021 Designed for @crassevig, TUSCA is a TUSCA / 2021

Designed for @crassevig, TUSCA is a hybrid shell chair with it’s ‘half arm’ form. Most shells wrap further forward towards the front edge, with TUSCA we tried give the same comfort as a standard length arm but with the added openness of a non-arm shell. The generous form hugs the user while still allowing movement and varied sitting positions.
The name TUSCA comes from a mix of its subtle elephant reference and the Italian heritage.
